Following in the musical footsteps of her father it was only natural that singing and playing guitar would come as second nature to this Florida native.
She was eight years old when her father taught her to play guitar (and be his rhythm player) and sing those sweet family harmonies. She wrote her first song "What Can It Be" at age ten and continues to write today about life experiences, faith, family and love.
This singer, songwriter, guitarist is passionate about her early musical roots of country, gospel and bluegrass and you can hear her later year influences of rock and blues in her songs as she takes you from the depths heartache to joy and love.
Covering an eclectic mix of genres from her musical roots from classic country and rock to a ballad or soulful blues pleasing all ages with diverse musical interests.
Her style is her own her influences are many from Cash, Cline, Haggard, Emmy Lou, Bonnie Raitt, Aretha Franklin, Patty Loveless, Dolly, Beatles, Dylan and many more.
For the past three decades, prior to going solo, Geri performed throughout Central Florida as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for several bands and has shared the stage as opening acts for Waylon Jennings, Aaron Tippin, Jett Williams, Blackhawk, The Lost Trailers, and Joe Nichols.
In 2002 she and her bandmates were honored to play for gubernatorial candidate, Jeb Bush and President George W. Bush, during Jeb's election campaign at the USF Sun Dome.
It was only natural for me to follow in the musical footsteps of my daddy. He gave me my first guitar at the tender age of eight, taught me a few chords and I was in my element. My first microphone was a Ban deodorant bottle, my first audience and stage was the reflection from the bathroom mirror, my first love...has always been music!
My dream has always been to sing on the stage of the Grand Ole Opry and although that hasn't come to pass yet, I have sung in Nashville on the stage of the Ryman Auditorium...no lights
no cameras, just me and my guitar...for a moment I was a star!
My first song was penned in third grade and I still remember it word for word. I've grown since then and learned that there is a song in every situation, there is love on the other side of heartache...but most of all there is life in the heartbeat of music...music is life and life gives us music.

In 1995 I was asked by Dan Allen to join his band, Bootleg. We were blessed to have the opportunity to open for Waylon Jennings at Silver Springs, Florida as well as several other up and coming artists throughout our years together. We were awarded "Band of the Year" by the Florida Country Music Association in 1998 and that same year I teamed up with Kim Murray and we won "Duo of the Year".
What a joy it was to be able to make over nine years of music with these talented musicians who were more like my brothers than band members. We had that chemistry that many don't get to experience. Although we have all gone in different directions with our music...we are all still doing what we love and I have the utmost love and respect for them - Jeff Jackson, Andy Fritsch and PG Woods. We recorded our one and only self-titled CD in 2000 and were honored to be the entertainment choice for Gov. Jeb Bush's campaign in 2002, playing to a crowd of over 15,000 and seeing one of his supporters, President George "Dubya"W. Bush.
After taking a short break from performing with bands I was asked by my former bandmate and drummer, Andy Fritsch, to help his band out by "filling in" for their lead vocalist who had left the band. I had planned on helping for a few gigs and that turned into two years of festivals, winery and Moose Lodge performances. We recorded a CD and had lots of fun those two short years with Andy Fritsch, Michael Franklin, Ken Speer and Terry Speer.
